It is time to go back to the source(God)

Our bible reading this morning was taken from Judges 6. You should read the chapter for more understanding but I will be focusing on Vs 1-15

The children of Israel did evil in the sight of God, and the Lord delivered them into the hands of Midian seven years.

It was recorded in Judges 6:3 that when Israel had sown, the Midianites came up, and the Amalekites, and the children of the east encamped against them and destroyed the increase of the earth. The Midianites came with their cattle and Grasshoppers and destroyed Israelites land.

Vs6 says and Israel was greatly impoverished because of the Midianites. Vs7 says and it came to pass, when the children of Israel cried unto the Lord, that the Lord sent a prophet unto the children of God.

Without a doubt God hates when we turn away from him to worshipping other gods, he hates when we do evil. We can see all that happened to the Israelites, how there was hunger in the land and how the Midianites tormented them.

Firstly we all need to ask God to forgive us of the evil things we have done, so he won’t give us to our enemies any longer.

A lot of terrible things happen when we start putting other things before God, when we start feeling like we are powerful when actually God owns all power.

It is time to go back to God as individuals, as a nation, as neighbouring countries, the world at large…

Secondly it is time we call upon God to raise leaders among us, God fearing leaders that will put the affairs of our nations in order. This isn’t the time to say our country is dead,this isn’t the time to give up,this is the time to rise up in Prayer..

It is time to allow God use us to bring peace and healing to our world, let’s stop making excuses why the Lord shouldn’t use us because he always knows why he picks anyone he wants to use.

Lastly I pray we will become steadfast in prayer, I pray we become good examples for people to emulate, I pray we allow God use us the way he wants to, I pray we become doers of God’s word in Jesus name Amen
